FRANKLIN AMERICAN MORTGAGE MUSIC CITY BOWL ANNOUNCES UNIQUE PARTNERSHIPS BEGINNING IN 2014
NASHVILLE, Tenn.(July 18, 2013) – Representatives of the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl are pleased to announce a new partnership with the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl, including an agreement to share selections with the Big Ten Conference and the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) for one of its participating teams during the 2014-2019 bowl games.
Through the new partnership, the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl and the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowlwill join the College Football Playoff bowls as two of very few major postseason games with multiple conference affiliations. The unique partnership will offer maximum flexibility in the team selection process and optimize the on-field matchup over the next six years in Nashville.

With the additions of Notre Dame, Louisville, Pittsburgh and Syracuse, the ACC expands to 15 teams within its conference bowl affiliations. Beginning July 1, 2014, the Big Ten will be comprised of 14 teams, adding Maryland and Rutgers.

The Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl, in partnership with the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, is a welcome addition to our national bowl lineup and will provide Big Ten teams and fans a rewarding postseason experience.”
Agreements are pending with both bowls to provide an opponent for the ACC and Big Ten.
The 16th annual Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl will be played at LP Field in Nashville on Monday, Dec. 30 at 2:15 p.m. CST, and will be televised nationally on ESPN. Tickets for event go on sale August 30.
